There are some hairstyles we hope will never stage a comeback. At the top of the list? The bowl cut. Most of us are all too familiar with the style since it was the easiest cut for our parents to try at home. (Some even used an actual bowl to get the shape just right.) But leave it to Charlize Theron to make the cut cool and change our minds.
The Oscar winner has been sporting a bowl cut for several months now and we’re amazed at how many different ways she’s managed to style her chopped locks. From the full bowl to brushed to one side to slicked back, she’s getting a lot of mileage out of her ‘do.
So we decided to search through Instagram and the runways to see how many ways you can rock a bowl cut without looking like a little kid. Get ready to book an appointment with your hairstylist.
