There was no shortage of hair trends on the Spring 2018 runways. We saw everything from unique twists to statement hair accessories, but one key look that continued from past seasons was the celebration of natural hair. With runways becoming more diverse than ever, hairstylists are showing off models’ locks in all their natural glory, whether worn buzzed, in Afros, kinky or long and curly.
The celebration of natural hair has been building for the past few years. In 2015, Maria Borges made history for being the first black model to sport her natural hair at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Flash forward to 2018 and natural hairstyles are a regular occurrence on the global runways.
