Lambs, rejoice. One sweet day in the very near future, Mariah Carey’s full M.A.C. Cosmetics collection will finally hit store shelves. Last September, the makeup giant named Carey its latest Beauty Icon collaborator. That December, the first piece from the siren’s holiday collection #blessed the doors to our less-than-five-octave-range vocal chords. Named for her timeless Christmas cover “All I Want,” the frosty champagne lipstick had glitter fans everywhere clamoring for more.
Now, a whole year later, the 90s icon’s full line is (almost) here. In a press release announcing the news, M.A.C. gushed, “The elusive chanteuse and ‘songbird supreme’ is back! Mariah Carey has dazzled us with her smash hits and timeless contributions to music for decades and now brings her impeccable glamour to an iconic makeup collection that’s all you’ll ever want.”
As you may have guessed, there is a lot of shimmer involved. “I think that the frost is really nice for holiday,” the beauty school dropout said of her ideal holiday look. “And you could do even a little bit of a light shimmer on the cheekbone or on the eyes — a little bit of a glow to the face.”
With this 23-piece makeup range, you’ll certainly have the means to shine. Standout products include a copper-toned eyeshadow palette called “I’m That Chick You Like,” lustrous gold face powder in “Touch My Body,” shimmery tan lipgloss that smoothes on “Just Like Honey” and sweeping false eyelashes for some added Mimi-esque flair.
Mariah Carey x M.A.C. hits maccosmetics.com and select brick and mortar locations December 15.
