This time around, the 80s were most definitely back in the form of mad jolts of color, dramatic rouge and whimsical dashes of sparkle. Draping — that 80s contouring staple of applying blush high along your cheekbones to sculpt your features — is back in full effect. The technique was best exemplified at Kenzo where MAC’s Lead Makeup Artist Lynsey Alexander took the ultimate party girl look of bright rouge to Studio 54-level decadence by blending it around the eyes.

Makeup artists achieved the look by evening skin with a touch of concealer or lightweight foundation where needed.
