Lips are getting the ombre treatment thanks to Topshop and makeup artist Hannah Murray, who created the two-tone lip for the Topshop Unique Spring 2015 show. Using two variations of a bright color — one in a cream and one in a powder — the lip ombres create instantly fuller lips in the coolest way possible.
In the video tutorial on Topshop’s site, Murray advises users to apply the top (cream) shade using fingers to dab it into the center of the lips and work your way out in patting motions to get an even diffusion of color. The second (powder) hue is a pastel variation that is on the matte side and should be softly blended into the center of both the top and bottom lip for a light-reflecting effect that will enhance the look of your pout.
