Fashion month continues and now that Milan Fashion Week is a wrap, we are excited to share our favorite beauty moments. True to Italian form, the hair and makeup seen on the catwalks was full of drama and we loved it all. From (faux) face tattoos and over-the-top hair to bare-faced minimalism, our European friends gave us plenty of beauty inspiration for the fall season. We’re even starting to see some new (and pretty awesome) trends take form thanks to some of our favorite pros (cough, Pat McGrath, cough), but more on that later. Dolce and Gabbana
Inspired by Mamma, the models at Dolce and Gabbana adorned chignons with trinkets and jewelry that looked very borrowed-from mom. Others rocked some serious statement-making bejweled headphones.

Roberto Cavalli
Dewy complexions were juxtaposed by smudged, live-in liner at Roberto Cavalli. Makeup artist Petros Petohilos used MAC Pro Pearl Reflects Glitter in lieu of highlighter to brighten and add dimension to models' eyes.

Prada
Gravity-defying side ponys made a comeback thanks to mane master Guido. Side Pony 2.0 was wrapped with a section over the securing elastic before being secretly bobby pinned to the side and glammed up with over sized embellished accessories.

Giamba
Giambattista Valli's millennial-geared line, Giamba, brought the playfulness when makeup artist Val Garland painted tiny faux tattoos on fresh-faced models' faces and hands.

Fendi
To offset the architectural collection, hair stylist Sam McKnight gave hair texture and gathered it into a twisted-ponytail hybrid before slipping on leather headbands in various neutral colors.
Makeup artist Peter Phillips, known for his out-of-the box aesthetic went all out with over five coats of Diorshow mascara and painterly brush-stoked liner.

Alberta Ferretti
Romance was the theme for hair at Alberta Ferretti. Hair pro Guido used hair extensions to get dramatic length for the loose ponytails he styled for models.

Giorgio Armani
International Make-Up Artist for Giorgio Armani, Linda Cantello used a smoky brown color across the crease of models' eyes and outlined the outer corner for a graphic effect while lips were painted with a pink-orange shade of lipstick.

Grunge met glamour when it came to hair and makeup at Versace. Tousled, textured bed-head hair was complemented with a classic black smoky eye smudged out to perfection.

Salvatore Ferragamo
Less is more in the case of the models that strutted down the catwalk at Ferragamo. Hairstylist Anthony Turner gave models a straight-forward blowout for a look that was mature and lady-like it the chicest way ever.

Bottega Veneta
Guido gave the diverse group of models the come-as-you-are treatment for hair at Bottega Veneta. For makeup, Pat McGrath custom blended a burgundy lip color and applied it with her fingertip for an effortless wine-stained look.

Etro
James Pecis styled hair at Etro, where the inspiration was Wes Anderson films. Pecis tells Vogue, "She is a little eccentric and wears patchwork tapestry clothing. Hair was flat and soft but had some natural wave to it for movement."

Missoni
The high-shine updo Paul Hanlon created for Missoni was a little bit shell-like, a little bit hot-roller-inspired, and a tad mannequin-esque. To complement the daring hair style, makeup artist Lucia Pieroni drew a set of seriously dramatic crescent-shaped brows on the models.

Hair pro Sam McKnight pinned models' hair at Max Mara into a short faux bob with tons of texture after being inspired by Marilyn Monroe posing in a photo at the beach. Tom Pecheux modernized the look with a nude lip and subtle winged out liner.

Gucci girls had the ultimate no-makeup makeup look paired with chill, natural waves. Pat McGrath used Gucci Lustrous Glow Foundation and Luminous Perfecting Concealer to skin an enviable flawless finish.

Eugene Souleiman went for an eye-opener-- literally-- with a hair trick that consisted of two tightly pulled-black braids on either side of the face near the temples hidden underneath straight blow outs. Face lift, anyone?

Marni
Paul Hanlon created twisted, gel-drenched hair for models backstage at Marni. Inspired by a "Modern day Inuit" makeup artist Tom Pecheux blended together two lip colors to create a stone-like nude finish on the lips.
