Crunched for time and crazy busy? If you’re running ragged and barely have any time at all to get ready, let matte lip balms like Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm be your makeup BFFs.
Say “Hallelujah, thank you!” to matte orange Audacious and hot pinkish coral Unapologetic, two of the batch of shades available now at Walmart for $6.48 each.
And here’s the kicker: in these pics, I’m wearing them on my lips and my cheeks.
Yup, cheeks!
Talk about no-brainers. Not only are these multitasking matte balms available at Walmart (read: easy to find), you can use them to add color to your lips and/or cheeks, which also makes them versatile.
Matte balms like these are great because, when used as a blush, the matte finish doesn’t draw attention to your pores, so makeup lovers of all ages can rock them. Plus, having a flat finish, they don’t make already oily cheeks look even oilier.
I usually start by applying the balm to my lips. In the pic below, I’m applying matte orange Audacious.
Then, for some cheek color, a couple swipes on the apples of my cheeks, on top of foundation and powder.
Now, if you don’t wear foundation or powder, no worries — this works fine on bare skin, too.
When I’m in a hurry, which is often, it seems, I try to keep everything simple, so I won’t even use a blush brush for this. I’ll just use my fingers to blend.
The result? Fresh cheeks and lips in a flash.
But wait, there’s more! To crank up the color to even greater heights for a more intense cheek look, repeat the same process, adding one or two more swipes and blending with fingers.
Audacious and I have been tight, as of late, and orange is very trendy, but I also love hot pink coral Unapologetic right now. Both are perfect for summer.
Look for Unapologetic and Audacious, or maybe one of the other eight Revlon ColorBurst Matte Lip Balm shades, now at Walmart stores.
