We caught up with stylist James Pecis backstage at Edun, where inspiration came from all over the world. “Two points of inspiration for this collection were the Ivory Coast and Japanese wrapping,” he pointed out. How did he take that and reflect it in the hair? “We took a headband and incorporated a knot to show the Japanese inspiration. The Ivory Coast inspiration is shown off in the form of Zulu knots, where the hair is wrapped and starts to bubble out.” Pecis used PHYTO Professional Glossing Cream ($24) for a pieciness that was borderline romantic.
