Fashion Week is only halfway through, and we’re already beauty trendspotting for the Spring 2015 season. The hair trend we’re really excited about is the return of the braid. We’ve seen it in past seasons, but when it came to the runways in New York City, it was all about making it your own.
At Tome, hair was parted in the center and then tied into a slick, tight French braid that started at the nape of the neck, and reflected the Indian culture that was showcased in the collection. Using Wella Professionals, stylists at Peter Som gave models a sexy, chic look by side-parting the hair and then French braiding the top third. One of the most buzzed-about braids came at the end of the second day when Kérastase Lead Stylist Odile Gilbert created the coolest cage herringbone braids we’ve ever seen at Suno.
We love all the braid diversity and are thinking of recreating one of these ASAP since the New York City weather doesn’t seem to be cooling down anytime soon.
