What do you get when you put Jennifer Lopez’s makeup artist with Kim Kardashian’s hair stylist? Only the chicest, super secret, A-list beauty studio in West Hollywood. Good news, though, you don’t have to be a celeb or have tons of cash to book an appointment with these guys, you just have to know the right person. And luckily, we’ve got you covered.
Known for his work with huge Hollywood stars such as Vanessa Williams, Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera, and of course, J. Lo, Scott Barnes is one of the most sought after makeup artists in the industry, an author (he wrote About Face), and the creator of best-selling Body Bling tinted moisturizers. Throw in the fact that he’s also teamed up with one of Tinseltown’s hottest hair stylists, Frank Galasso, and you’ve got the perfect combination for an unstoppable beauty duo.
While you won’t find this place listed or advertised anywhere, the two have recently set up shop inside Salon Republic, located at 8000 Sunset Blvd. They’ll be taking appointments 2-3 days a week, in between their busy schedules of course, and offering everything from full makeup applications, which start at $500 (vs. $5000 for Scott’s typical day rate for celebs and editorial shoots), to cuts ($360), and color, which starts at $100 for a single process with Frank.
