Marchesa S/S 2011 Backstage

He started by applying Fédéric Fekkai Essential Shea Tame & Style Pot de Crème to the models’ hair.

Then, flipping the head over, Campora braided the hair outwards so that it would fall perfectly on top of the head.

Next, Campora secured the braid into a bun at the crown, and smoothed the hair with Essential Shea Ultra-Rich Mask.

Silky Straight Ironless Smooth Finish was also used for protection and shine.

The look was tied together with a gorgeous embellished hair accessory, designed by Marchesa.  If there’s one hairstyle that can go straight from a presentation on to the red carpet, it’s this one.

Le Métier de Beauté, led by Talia Shobrook, did the make-up. Shobrook told me she only wanted to use hints of color, because the Oriental designs were so ornate.
The resulting look consisted of accented brown eyebrows, and dewy faces.  Shobrookd
predicted
that Spring 2011 make-up will be “all about skin.”

She used a brightener before applying foundation to make it seem as though light was shining off the models’ faces. For the eyes, a dash of white liner on the lash line added a modern freshness.
