On October 19, the couple graced the star-studded event in Los Angeles donning matching ensembles. Later, Legend took to Instagram to share photos of himself and his wife from the gala’s red carpet, calling the occasion a “date night” with his “beautiful bride.”

John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, were inarguably one of the best-dressed couples at the Academy Museum Gala. Together, they looked picture-perfect in their color-coordinated ensembles. PEOPLE reported that Teigen, who was styled Alana Van Deraa for the event, opted for a figure-hugging strapless silk gown with a plunging scalloped neckline. Designed by Andrew Kwon, the cream-colored gown also included alluring ombré lace petals cascading from the waist section and a long silk train.
Teigen accessorized the ensemble with a gorgeous tennis necklace and also carried a matching clutch to go with the look. To let the gown be the highlight of her “date night,” the model kept her makeup glamorous and glowy. As such, Teigen went with eyeliner, pink blush on the cheeks, and a full glossy nude pink lip. Additionally, she wore her hair in a classic short bob so as to flaunt her shoulders and collarbones.
Meanwhile, John Legend wore a classic suit that included a pair of black trousers and a blazer in cream color, perfectly matching his wife’s gown. He opted for a white button-up underneath the blazer. His ensemble also showed off a black bow. The “All of Me” singer finished his look with black shoes.
