Forum Members Review the ‘Irredeemable’ Loewe Spring 2025 Collection From JW Anderson

Day five of Paris Fashion Week and this afternoon’s slot was taken up by JW Anderson’s Loewe Spring 2025 collection. The celebrated Irish designer (and theFashionSpot’s 2023 Designer of the Year) has been the creative force behind the LVMH-owned fashion brand since 2023. Today, at the historic Château de Vincennes situated on the eastern edge of Paris, the star-studded front row included the likes of Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Meg Ryan and Ayo Edebiri. A vast sleek showspace setting, complete with a bird sculpture from British artist Tracey Emin, greeted the guests. Anderson experimented with what he called “radical reduction” and sent an array of floating floral gowns, teeny-tiny polished mini dresses, feathered tops stamped with iconic artworks down the runway.

Loewe Spring 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“This was boring for being in your tenth year at Loewe.” [youthinasia]

“Very weak. I’m disappointed.” [ghostwriter10549]

“What we have here is just the catalog of the worst fashion of our time: silly volumes, the baggy pants, the silly proportions of those micro dresses – it’s all irredeemable. Not to mention the choice of shoes.” [Alquimista]

“I enjoyed the collection but JW Anderson is clearly approaching the end of the possibilities at Loewe. Rooting for him to take over Dior or Louis Vuitton. Great accessories and all these eccentric dresses will be translated into sellable commercial pieces.” [Olaffo]

“I actually really like this It has that nice Art/Commerce vibe to it. And I think that it’s quite easy to read the pieces. The accessories are great.” [Lola701]

“Great collection. One of the highlights of the whole fashion week. JW Anderson continues to surprise us with new textures, treatments, and volumes. Even if his Loewe has become a bit predictable, it’s still amazing to see a designer bringing new garment ideas.” [IloveDiorHomme]
