Alicia Vikander is having a strong run as brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton. She’s a regular fixture in the front row for Nicolas Ghesquière’s shows, wears Vuitton on the cover of various magazine covers and has numerous advertising campaigns under her belt for the French fashion house. So it should come as no surprise that Alicia now fronts Vuitton’s ‘Spirit of Travel’ ad campaign for fall, which was shot on location in Brazil (presumably right after the Cruise 2017 show). Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, the Swedish actress wanders around the magnificent Niterói Contemporary Art Museum while leaving us a bit underwhelmed.

The moment we took a sneak peek at the campaign, our forum members were far from overjoyed. “I wish her no ill, but Alicia bores me to tears: in movies, in talk shows and here,” sighed a disapproving Street_a_ Licious.
“I actually like her as an actress, but this campaign is horrific!” exclaimed Nefertiti87.
In agreement over how terrible the images looked was Nymphaea: “Indeed very boring. Alicia brings nothing to the table and with a bland background, bland products, the result is even more bland.”
Gazebo wasn’t feeling it either: “Shooting on the resort location makes it look very budget. You can’t do this as a mega luxury brand!”
Marsnoop2 declared, “The setting wins me over, because Alicia doesn’t have to do much for some spectacular images. I love these actually!”
“While I still find her terribly overexposed, I’m absolutely smitten with these images! Clever move on LV’s behalf to shoot on that amazingly beautiful set in Brazil. And they’ve selected the least offensive pieces, by doing so appealing to a broader mass,” Benn98 added, just as things started to look up.
“I think she looks great. I really enjoy this,” confessed kenndale.
