Lisa Hyde’s The Bachelor S3, Ep 9 Low-Down: ‘Emily, You Are In For a Little Shock’

It’s obvious that all the ladies are wanting a second, or, for some, a third, single date with Sam, and, really, who would blame them? Let’s not forget that the ladies are also trying to suss out if Sam is the right man for them.

The single date goes to Bec, and  it wont take much to top her last date with Sam. Bec leaves the mansion wearing a stunning leopard-print maxi dress, which I’m guessing is from Spell Designs. I just love that shop.

Bec isn’t the only one to arrive in style. Sam swiftly picks her up in his black stealth chopper, because obviously he actually owns it, and what a way to impress her and make up from their disaster triple first date.

The adventure begins as they go indoor skydiving. I didn’t know this even existed, but holy hell it looks like fun. Bec and Sam look like good mates, and there is obviously no romantic connection and I think they both know it.

Could it be Bec’s barriers, or that Sam has already formed other connections? Who knows? I guess they just aren’t mean to be together. This, my friends, is in no way a bad thing.

In fact, good on the both of them for being upfront and honest about how they feel instead of beating around the bush. It really shows that Sam is in this for the right reasons and really respects all the ladies.

He kindly sends Bec on her way in the nicest way possible and The Bachelor journey is over for Bec. However, I don’t think that gorgeous girl will be single for long.

Back at the mansion it is clear Emily does not like Nina, and, as the group of ladies slowly gets smaller, it’s not hard to notice the unpleasant living situation.

Apparently this seems like the perfect time for Sam to sneak in for a surprise breakfast. I remember when Blake did this to us girls and he really did get us by surprise.

At the time I wasn’t too impressed to have a camera shoved in my sleepy face, but I can now see why it is important for your potential boyfriend, and the whole of Australia, mind you, to see you straight out of bed.

We are all snoops and really want to see if these ladies look good without a face full of makeup and a ball gown dress. Don’t pretend you didn’t want to see it.

I know Emily is dramatic and, well, rude at times, but she makes me laugh, like with that #BreakfastScarf. She reminds me of a little someone who I miss. #DirtyStreetPie.

Sarah is chosen for her second single date. If you’ve missed a few episodes let me bring you up to speed. Sarah got the first date and now she is the first to see the Bachelor pad. NBD.

I like Sarah but I can definitely agree with the all the talk on Twitter about Sarah seeming a little too “old lady”. Not a bad thing, I’m just a little bored watching Sarah.

Cocktail party time and we all know what this means. Date crashers, but first lets hear from Emily, who’s all like, “Like, who else is worthier than me?” Oh, Emily, you are in for a little shock.

The first limo brings Lana, and you can see Sam is overly excited. Lana seems nice and is super gorgeous, (the males in my household defiantly had a good perve), and I think there was an instant click as Sam slips out she is a “pleasant surprise”.

OK, the part we have all been waiting for. The random female in a sparkly dress, who we now know is Lana, walks across the lawn, and the look on Emily’s face is priceless. This is certainly the best pissed-off-Emily face we have seen this season.

Rachel is the second date crasher and she is equally as stunning. She also has great banter with Sam, and, by that entrance, I think Rachel is going to stir up a few things in the house. There’s something about her that I like. Maybe the subtle attitude or the confidence, but I’m keen to see what she would be like on a date.

Emily is not worried at all. Like, seriously, they are not even competition for Emily. Besides, Emily doesn’t want someone who doesn’t want her wholeheartedly, and that is true Emily. You need a guy who will give you all the glitz and glamour you deserve.

Down to the rose ceremony, and, because Sam has always been honest with his feelings, this one is a no-brainer. But I guess Emily knew it was also a no-brainer to trot off and make a scene.

Anyway, I’m super excited to see how Lana and Rachel’s dates go tomorrow night. New girls mean new relationships, and I think the “originals” should start to feel a little worried.
