Die-Hard Taylor Swift Fans Marry in Parking Lot Outside Concert

Many girls dream of their wedding day, and some dream of meeting Taylor Swift. Hopeful for both of her dreams to become a reality simultaneously for a fabulous fusion, one woman has forfeited the dream wedding for a parking lot vow-exchange.

Last Friday, June 12, die-hard fan Katy Harris (no relation to Calvin) and her fiancé Chris Eisenman got hitched in the car park outside Lincoln Financial Field, Taylor Swift’s Philadelphia concert venue.

 

Some of you may have saw on facebook that Chris and I plan to get married in 3 days at the #1989tourphilly Taylor Swift Concert #06122015 — We originally planned a a whole wedding for 12-13-14 ( Taylor’s 25th birthday! ) We had reasons why we had to put it off. Meanwhile, I’ve had a gown hanging in my closet!! And as I was making our homemade outfits for Taylor (as I have done every two years when she comes to town) a joke about wearing my gown to the concert turned into us driving to Philly to get a marriage license and planning a ceremony outside of Lincoln Financial Field right before walking into the concert in our tux and gown! We kept it a secret for the most part until today! If you know anything about me its probably how I have been obsessed with Taylor since I first heard her in 2006. Chris has been very supportive and could even put most girls to shame going word for word on any of her albums (including deluxe editions) So naturally how could I ever give him up?! He is an incredible person and an amazing fiance! He also is the best father to our beautiful son and I cant wait to share their last name! Rather than go straight to the hotel room or enjoy a lovely reception with heartfelt speeches from family and friends, the newlyweds decided to watch Taylor perform for their first night together as a married couple.

Their sacrifices paid off, because Taylor’s mum found the unmissable pair in the audience and pulled them backstage for a photo with Tay. The result was a very happy bride. “I have no words to express lastnight!! My two dreams came true!!!”

Her priorities might be different to some bridezillas, but it’s definitely going to be a day she’ll never forget. Props go to the new husband, Chris, who Katy says has been “very supportive” in her borderline-obsession for Swifty. He’s also said to be a lyrical-memory master when it comes to Taylor’s music. 

Congrats, you two!
