It seems the fashion industry can’t get the F-word off their minds. We are of course, talking about feminism. From Chanel to Emma Watson, fashion folk of all stripes are proudly proclaiming their support for women’s equality and they are not holding back their opinions. Keira Knightley is the latest celeb to wax poetic about feminism, telling Net-A-Porter’s The Edit that she thinks fairy tales set a bad example for young girls.
“A princess waiting to get rescued by some dude. I never really got into that,” she told the magazine, noting that she much prefers the Brothers Grimm version of these classic stories. “I think fairytales are a little bit frightening for some girls, because they say you have to wait for a dude to come and rescue you and I don’t think that’s a very good message.”
Hear, hear Keira! Watch the actress drop nuggets of knowledge in the video above.
