We kicked off our weekend with an evening show over at Somerset House’s centre stage as Christopher Raeburn debuted his ASCENT collection. Staying true to his REMADE concept, it was the next chapter in his ongoing evolution of femininity underpinned by function. Our fashion focus was once again drawn to his oversized backpacks, and this season, the key is to match it to your jacket!
Jasper Conran
Would it be crazy to admit that the reason why we wanted to work within fashion stems was from growing up watching Absolutely Fabulous? Well, one of our most surreal Fashion Week moments was sitting opposite Jennifer Saunders bright and early at Jasper Conran’s show on Saturday morning! Conran’s Spring 2015 collection was awash with beautiful, flowing maxi dresses covered with block prints, and we loved the inky blues that drenched the edges of crisp whites — just as the invite had indicated.
Antipodium
At Antipodium, we spied one of our favourite super bloggers Susie Bubble, who was enjoying the Women on a Mission collection. The collection mixed the prim and proper look of American televangelists with more sinful satisfactions, as muses ranged from David Bowie to Kylie Minogue. The result? A very East London feeling collection.
Orla Kiely
It was quite confusing to enter a room where three painters, complete with overalls, sat behind a glass window. All soon became clear as the presentation began, and as the real models arrived, the painters proceeded to paint Kiely-inspired flowers on the window pane. She gets an A for originality! The collection felt very 60s as prints popped and dresses came nipped in at the waist.
Temperley London
Always one of our favorite shows to attend, and this time around it took place at the Royal Institute of British Architects with Nicole Scherzinger, Amber Le Bon and Alice Eve adding some extra glamour to its front row. This season, Temperley strived for a younger, more relaxed attitude as a full day-to-evening offering was presented. Plus, for the first time on the brand’s runway, we saw Temperley lace-up trainers in a range of the season’s key prints. Beyond exciting!

Topshop Unique
It’s not Fashion Week without seeing Cara Delevingne, and as we literally ran over to Topshop’s runway show, we were pleased that we just about made it on time, as Cara both opened and closed the show. Cheered on by her sister Poppy from the front row, other models included Jourdan Dunn and Hailey Baldwin. The vibe began as sporty chic with zip-up polo necks and bowler bags, and morphed into eveningwear toward the end of the show as long, sheer and embellished dresses flowed.
David Koma
Rumoured to be Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s favourite designer, we had no such luck with a good celeb spotting, but his gorgeous collection made up for that. Monochrome was broken up by beautiful primary colours, such as blue and yellow as linear influences were key. Bodycons were finished with seductive slashes and sheer panels created added interest.
