Gwyneth Paltrow‘s first batch of ads for Coach have just hit the internet, via Vogue Taiwan. If you weren’t annoyed by the GOOPette before, you probably won’t ever be — but that being said, anyone already irritated by Paltow and her smug, lifestyle-oriented approach to celebrity should look the other way.
Perched next to a huge, floor-to-ceiling window facing out at a bustling city, Gwyneth beams and preens as she embraces her Coach handbag, sunglasses dangling off the handle. Her tousled, early-morning hair and grey wool sweater seem so cozy and devil-may-care that you’d think that she was holding a lover, not a bag. As she giggles in the direction of some hilarious joke made out-of-frame, I can only assume that the real joke is on her: A-lister Gwyneth Paltrow might as well be starring in a catalog ad.
