Discussing what girls belong on the top ten new girl lists of all those acclaimed fashion websites has long been tradition at The Fashion Spot. But now for the first time, tFS has its very own Top Ten New Faces list! You have voted by the masses for over a week now and here are the ten girls that you decided were the biggest new stars on the runways of Spring-Summer 2009!
Anna Selezneva

When a girl is not represented by an agency outside of Paris and still manages to book a whole bunch of huge shows beyond the city of lights, then it’s obvious that girl is a star. Anna Selezneva did just that. Following a small but enviable showlist in Paris last season, she's had a Calvin Klein exclusive in New York, walked shows like Gucci, Fendi and Jil Sander in Milan and appeared at almost every major show in Paris. A star indeed.
Anya Kazakova

It’s safe to say that Anya Kazakova had every important casting director at hello, since she walked 57 shows in her first season. After opening the Calvin Klein show and walking for Marc Jacobs in New York, her success continued on the European runways. Prada, Versace, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin. You name it, she was there.
Arlenis Sosa Pena

If there is one girl that killed New York, then it’s Dominican beauty Arlenis Sosa Pena, from opening and closing Oscar de la Renta to the runways of Zac Posen, Ralph Lauren and Anna Sui. And with that Lancome deal already under her belt, it makes her less succesful European showseason not important at all. That’s if you call Dior, Gaultier and Galliano unimportant shows, of course.
