ah that explains it. I was confused at first since I could tell she was wearing that AA shirt in the first pic (a shirt I am coincidentally wearing this very moment) and in the second pic, it was the same grey color but with applique and different shape. That said, it probably wouldn't take much to embroider or applique onto the AA sweater, roll up the sleeves, et voila. Love the styling of that second shot though. Beautiful. All the recent pics are great.
As for hotlinking, the mod squad has come to not yet come to a final conclusion about it. There are obvious benefits and drawbacks to each way, so we leave it up to a member's discretion. That said, we generally prefer it because it means that the images stay in posterity, as opposed to becoming a little red x in a year if the sight shuts down or they remove the pic.
^well, then there should be more moderating of reposts, which abound when people don't hotlink.
are we now turning into a library? pictures come, pictures go, c'est la vie, save them while you can. certainly no one is complaining about hotlinking to SATC. and if the Garance pix are indeed styled, should they be included in a streetstyle thread?
^reposts are not about hotlinking or not. You can host a picture and post it in its original size if you fear so much for reposts.
I wasn't complaining about hotlinking to Garance. I was talking about hotlinking in general and took you as an example because you hotlinked to Garance. If i talked about hotlinking it's because it can make many pictures disappear and there are many drawbacks for the people who own the site you hotlink from. I did it all the time a few years ago and i was surprised when i found out many of them had disappear. To me you've to be able to see the pics whenever you want so i don't agree with "save them while you can, c'est la vie, too bad for you if they disappear". That's all. I didn't want to create any feud or anything, don't take it personally..
As for the GD pics, if the mods want them to be deleted, they'll be.

Please let's not turn this into a discussion about hotlinking, this is a streetstyle thread
no pictures will be deleted.. we don't have a rule against hotlinking and as long as the source is provided they will stay up until something else might be decided
As for Garance styling her photos, can a mod address this issue? Saann stated this was a streetstyle thread, and as much as I like Garance's photos, I've always found them a little improbable.
While I don't think style & the city may be on the same quality level of aesthetic as some street style sites (such as Garance) I love the way they capture the personality of the subject and of Paris!

If you mean you think every GD pics are styled, I think there's a little misconception here. The only photos Garance styled are the ones posted in #3397 and #3401. On her blog she writes about a friend of her who owns a boutique and they thought that'd be a fun game to style a girl with pieces they love. Every other pics of street style she posted are real street style.
As for the "SATC" is real street style. Why do we all come here for? To be inspired, right? Personally people with no style or who wear just a striped polo, jeans and chucks do not inspire me at all and i don't care for them. I come to street style threads to see how well some people who live in a country/city can dress. Not to see things i see everyday when i walk in the streets.
