Tutorial: Creating Custom Content for The Fashion Spot DesignWizard
1. Download the templates you want to use. Templates are found here.
2. Open the template in the image editing software of your choice. To make it work, the program should be able to work with layers (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc).
3. Create a new layer. This is the layer you will be drawing on.
4. Draw your item or clothing using whichever drawing technique you prefer. Also consider scanning in traditionally drawn artwork for this process. You should be able to see the doll beneath the drawing, as this is precisely how it will appear in the wizard.
5. When you've completed your drawing, it's time to save it. The Fashion Spot Dollwizard only reads PNGs, so the clothing must be saved this way. (Note, the "ambient" backgrounds are all JPGs.) To start saving, turn off the layer that has the template so that you can no longer see the model.
6. Then go to File,Save for Web, and choose the PNG 24 option. Be sure the transparency option is clicked. Save it, upload, and enjoy!
